Frequently Asked Questions
IV therapy delivers vitamins, minerals, and nutrients directly into your bloodstream for fast, effective absorption.
IV therapies are generally safe when administered by trained medical professionals. Our infusions are prepared under strict medical standards, using proper aseptic techniques.
We review your medical history thoroughly and discuss it with you beforehand to ensure there are no contraindications. Vital signs are checked before, during, and after the infusion to ensure safe delivery and optimal results.
Most IV infusions take 45–60 minutes. IM injections are completed within 10 minutes including the assessment and prepartion.
A consultation is highly recommended before your first treatment to ensure your IV nutritional therapy is safe, appropriate, and tailored to your individual wellness goals.
During your free 15-minute telephone consultation, our experienced nurses or medical director will:
• Discuss your specific goals or symptoms
• Review your health history, medications, supplements, and allergies
• Recommend the most suitable IV therapy for your needs
New clients: After the consultation, we will guide you to book your IV session.
Returning clients: If your therapy plan is already established, you may book your session directly.
If you have any questions at any time, feel free to call us at 780-370-6569 or via email- zemawellness@outlook.com.
IV therapy is generally very safe, though minor side effects can occasionally occur. Some people may notice slight bruising or swelling at the IV site, a warm sensation if the infusion flows quickly, or occasionally nausea or light-headedness.
To ensure the best experience, please:
• Drink plenty of water before your appointment.
• Have a light meal or snack beforehand.
• If you’re feeling unwell on the day of your session, notify your nurse as we may need to reschedule for your safety and comfort.
Your infusion nurse will review any potential side effects with you before the session, monitor you closely during the infusion, and check your vitals afterward to ensure you’re stable and feeling well.
We want your IV therapy appointment to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Take this time for yourself, listen to music, bring a book, or even take a short nap.
When you arrive for your appointment, your nurse will review your intake form, answer any questions you may have, and have you sign the consent form if this is your first appointment.
Then we will check your vital signs and perform any other necessary health assessments.
Next, a small needle will be used to insert your IV line, which will be secured and connected to your infusion bag.
Your nurse will monitor you closely throughout the infusion to ensure you remain comfortable and experience no discomfort.
Once the infusion is complete, your nurse will recheck your vital signs, remove the IV line, and confirm that you are feeling well before you leave.
